Week 4 is here and we’ve got an exciting match-up on tap for you on ESPN Radio 106.1 as Zac and Bobby head south of the border to bring you Elizabethtown v. Hart County this Friday night. Hart County, fresh off a berth in the 3A state championship in 2023 has re-loaded and got off to a 3-0 start, largely by running roughshod over their first 3 opponents. With margins of victory of 28, 30, and 39 over Nelson County, LaRue County, and Green County (and some controversy about some gamesmanship from Green County where the Dragons played Christmas music incredibly loudly in the gym serving as the visiting locker room), there is no denying that Hart County is as game as they come for the Panthers. However, Hart County has yet to see a passing attack like the Ryan Bowen lead one from Etown, currently 30th overall in Kentucky in passing yards, and 3rd in class AAA, with Tae Townsend as the class’s leading receiver. Hart County has allowed just 274 passing yards through 3 games. Elizabethtown’s defense will have to contend with a potent rushing attack, that has already crossed the 1,100 yard mark on the season, with 3 rushers (Kam Asbury, Christian Martin, and Brenan Griffin) with more than 275 yards through 3 games, on a balanced attack of a little over 20 carries each.
Due to crossing into the Central time zone, pre-game will start at 7:30 and kickoff is at 8, live on ESPN Radio 106.1!
