Drummer Josh Freese’s departure from the Foo Fighters was unexpected, but it has not derailed his career. Freese is set to rejoin Nine Inch Nails, whose current drummer, Ilan Rubin, will now join the Foo Fighters. This arrangement was not pre-planned, but it works out well for both bands. The Foo Fighters have officially named Rubin as their new drummer, while Nine Inch Nails has welcomed back Freese, who had previously played with the band from 2005 to 2008.
